The Herman Sr. & Iris B. Marable Senior Citizen of the Month Award is named for Judge Marable's mother and late father. The honor will be given to local senior citizens, age 60 or older, who have participated in efforts to improve the community. |
PURPOSE: To recognize Flint
area senior citizens age 60 or more who have made significant efforts to
improve the quality of life in the community.
ELIGIBILITY: Senior citizens age 60 or more who are
residents of Flint or Genesee County may be nominated for this award.
Any person, organization, block club, church, etc. may nominate someone
for this award. You may nominate yourself if you like.
NOMINATIONS: Nomination forms may be obtained from the
office of Judge Herman Marable, Jr., 67th District Court, Courtroom 1,
630 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan 48502, or downloaded from the www.judgemarable.net website.

SELECTION: Nomination forms
must be postmarked by the 1st of the month for consideration in that
month and returned to the office of Judge Marable at the above address.
Nomination forms will be kept on file for one year, and considered
throughout the year. Judge Marable's Citizens Advisory Committee will
evaluate and select the awardees.
REWARDS: A framed certificate recognizing this honor; a
press release and photo of awardees will be sent to media outlets and
posted on the
